Brooklyn Secret Garden is the result of a collaboration between Jean-Yves Lemoigne and Japanese hairstylist Koji Ichikawa. When Jean-Yves discovered the work of Koji he was struck by how Koji managed to translate his Japanese craft heritage into modern hairstyling. He was intrigued by the geometry and the sculptural shapes of the hair styles. The idea of this film was to create 5 different modern women, each with their own personality: Claire : 花 (Hana), Julia : 蒼 (aoi), Peg : 白 (haku), Cat : 涼風 (suzukaze) and Jiya 光 (hikari).
