King graduated from the London College of Fashion where her final project was entitled ‘The Black Male image’. King’s work blends portraiture and fashion, inspired by her culture.

From Jamaican based heritage early on King spent her summers in North Carolina and would annoy her cousins for pictures: this anecdotal record of young Jamaican youth became her style.
