Animated loop inspired by Max Lavergne’s cult short story series “Let Me Tell You About My Saab.”. This experimental animation focussed on developing new workflows to bridge the gap between 2D and 3D, creating a stylized, dynamic illustrated world.
The project brings together 2D illustration, 3D modelling, 2D frame-by-frame fx animation, procedural animation, and pretty much every other trick and technique to bring Lavergne’s eccentric universe to life.
