When producer Caitlyn Sullivan invited Real Good Liars to participate in the second episode of the Moon Animate Make Up series, they couldn’t resist. Over 300 animators worked together to re-animate a full episode of iconic 90s anime Sailor Moon, shot-by-shot, each in their own personal style, with the end result achieving over a million views. This shot was a mixture of 2D and 3D animation, with plenty of careful compositing to bring it all together into a glossy, sinister whole.
