I returned to Oklahoma City for a five game stretch at the end of the regular season to catch the defending NBA Champs in person. The culture around the team is one of unwavering fan support, and there’s a palpable energy between the fans and their team. They call it Loud City for a reason! In return you feel a generous gratitude from the players, the MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander taking time to sign items for kids and fans that the Paycom staff generously allows close to the players at warm-up. As a huge NBA fan I was able to attend a lot of in person games this year and it really crystalized the beauty of live events for me. We’re so glued to our devices but there’s nothing like being in the moment with a large crowd as events unfold in real time.
