Olly Burn’s Portrait of Jules and Marie is exhibiting as part of the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize exhibition at The National Portrait Gallery. The show opens on November 13th.
The image is from an ongoing series made with his partner, Jocasta, celebrating the diversity within straight-passing queer relationships. The project began to look at their own relationship and it’s led to some beautiful, inspiring couples. Jules and Marie trusted them as our first sitters, and for him this portrait holds the intimacy they shared.
