Edmonton, Alberta

Dan Burn-Forti

“A few weeks back I unexpectedly found myself in Edmonton, Alberta as I was there to attend the funeral of a much loved family member. I’d visited Edmonton many times before, as it’s my wife’s hometown, but never under such sad circumstances. I’ve always really liked it there, with its somewhat bleak and rugged exterior making for some splendid views of suburban Americana (sorry, Canadiana). But the circumstances of my visit this time, coupled with the biting -25° C and some beautiful, crisp low light made for this slightly forlorn set of pictures that, at least for me, feel rather fitting to the occasion” – Dan Burn-Forti
