Magda shares work from her recent travels in North Africa. ‘The first time I came to Marrakech was about 15 years ago. My ankles and shoulders covered, not many women around after dark, whispers in the corridors of the city. I felt like an observer but not a participant. I went back this summer and i was in awwww at how different my experience was. I’ll say it’s one of my favorite places on earth. The sweet summer breeze of the desert was so inviting. Opera music playing inside of perfectly curated checkered marble floored coffee shops, palm leaves grazing your back at the local tea house, the flow of fingers in the intricate craftsmanship of weaving wool rugs, the echos of prayers following behind your ear at every corner, smell of rose water and spice, a flute playing to a black cobra, rooftops playing music of the region and locals dancing, salt crystals covering your body at the Hammam on the outskirts of town, candle light dinners in sand dunes at sunset, second hand markets filled with treasures from old to ancient. It is by far one of the most spectacular places on earth. So glad to have gone back’✨
