A previously unseen story unearthed during archiving.
In Dan’s own words – Morecambe Bay in November is mostly a grey and chilly experience, unless My Little Pony is your thing. The devotees of this plastic equine oddness seemed rather old to be playing with dolls, but who am I to judge. There were contests for the best dressed pony, homemade cakes for sale and a plethora of tightly fitting My Little Pony t-shirts that had presumably been well loved since they fitted properly. One paranoid exhibitor had hired a security guard to protect her super rare Magenta Cotton Candy pony. When I asked how much it was worth she replied “at least £80”. Definitely needed that guard then.
