“Noé, originally my graduate school thesis, is an exploration into the life of Noé Jimenez, an artist living in New Haven, CT.  I first photographed Noé when he was just 16 back in 2005/2006 while I was living in NYC and continued to do so until 2008.  I was interested in documenting this time in a person’s life as I had just entered my early twenties.  It hadn’t been that long since I was his age but at the same time my world seemed miles away.  In 2023 I revisited Noé, 15 years after last photographing him, to make a short film piece and photograph once again. ” – Clayton Cotterell.
