Yukon River in Dawson City documented for Smithsonian Magazine.
In Grant’s own words – ‘At first I was hesitant to walk across the river—then I saw a snowmobile from probably 1963 zip across. After that a truck crossed. For an extra layer of precaution they were checking the thickness of the ice with a chainsaw. Makes sense. From that point on I figured my skinny ass would probably be ok.’
