Whether working in a studio or out on location, Paul Calver captures authentic moments and creates crisp, distinctive images that linger long in the memory.  Born in Suffolk, Paul’s first love was skating, but in 2002 he dislocated his knee on a trip to Germany, picked up a camera instead and hasn’t looked back.

He is well-known for his beautifully shot sports photography, whether it’s runners snaking through snowy mountains or surfers riding waves off the west coast of India. Personal projects push the parameters of his work and these experiments feed back into commissions for brand giants like Nike.

But there is much more to Paul’s portfolio than sports imagery and he is adept at shooting atmospheric real life reportage and documentary projects too. Recent series capturing intimate family moments form strong narratives and deeply personal moments.
